The Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to assist Pierce County communities in the creation, maintenance and
usage of a connected system of non-motorized trails for healthier
people from Mt. Rainier to Puget Sound. |

This trailhead is just south of the Puyallup River bridge on Hwy 162. There is a large parking lot, restroom, drinking fountain, and information board.
The trail currently extends north across the river for a half mile to the intersection with Military Road. The four mile extension to Meeker is scheduled to be paved in 2005, as soon as weather allows.
Paved trail continues south seven miles through Orting toward South Prairie. |
