The Foothills Rails to Trails Coalition is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our mission is to assist Pierce County communities in the creation, maintenance and
usage of a connected system of non-motorized trails for healthier
people from Mt. Rainier to Puget Sound. |

The four-mile Meeker to McMillin section was completed October 2005. This is a beautiful section meandering through trees and farms, a wonderful alternative to SR 162. This is our first "Rails-With-Trail, parallelling an active track. Wave to the little red Meeker Shortline locomotive.
The Meeker (or East Puyallup ) trailhead is on 80th Street East, just off East Pioneer and 134th Avenue east by Van Lierops Bulb Farm. |
